No personal health data is shared with third parties.

You can delete your account from within the app and request help with data deletion by email. See Account deletion & data retention for how long we keep information and what happens when you delete your account.

Deleting your account in the app

You can delete your Diabot account from inside the app. Open the Settings (or Account) area, choose Delete account (or equivalent), and follow the on-screen steps to confirm. This removes your account from our service in line with the deletion process shown in the app.

If you cannot use the app or need help completing deletion, email us at contact@oxford-medtech.co.uk from the address associated with your account and ask for account and data deletion.

How long we retain your data

• While you use Diabot: We keep information needed to run your account and the app (for example profile and sign-in details, and operational logs where applicable) for as long as your account exists and you use the service.
• Health and tracking data on your device: As described in our privacy information, much of your health-related data stays on your device. Removing the app from your device may delete local data depending on your device settings; deleting your account addresses data held in connection with your account on our systems.
• After you delete your account: We delete or anonymise account-related information from our active systems within a reasonable time after you complete in-app account deletion (or after we process a verified email request). Copies in standard backups or similar systems may persist for a limited period before they are overwritten or purged as part of our normal technical processes.

Diabot may use device connectivity features such as Bluetooth, NFC, and local network access to communicate with compatible health devices.

Bluetooth may be used to connect with devices such as glucometers or continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems to import health data.

NFC may be used to read data from compatible devices such as smart water bottles or medication trackers.

Local network access may be used to communicate with supported home health devices or hubs.

These features are used solely to enable data import and improve your tracking experience within the app.

All such access is performed only with your permission and under your control.
